I have been getting a funny request for Big River Granola sand. “Sand” is the mixture of tiny ingredients (oats or flakes) that refuse to bind– they don’t seem to need large friend groups, or anything close to a group hug.
What do you do with it? Anything from yogurt or ice cream topping, to a pancake or brownies batter throw-in. My friend Sandy smiles broadly when I give her some sand – but trust me – there’s some at the bottom of every bag.
My son Jamie says little baggies of dedicated “sand” look suspicious.
Whatever could he mean?
